The Rancho Bernardo High School Visual and Performing Arts Department is a renowned public arts program in San Diego. For over 20 years, students have been provided the opportunity to work with professionals in the field, gain career experience, and execute at an unparalleled level. The standards of quality and rigor are recognized throughout the state of California. Alumni have gone on to pursue professional careers as television personalities, animators, computer grphic designers, art historians, symphony members, opera singers, choreographers, and more.

The RBHS dance program offers a variety of dance classes to fit any student's needs. All classes offered are for students, grades 9-12 and can be taken for PE credit and the intermediate and advanced level (per audition) taken for fine art credit.

The RB Instrumental Music program is committed to artistic excellence and is recognized as one of the finest music programs in the state. Students enrolled in the program are provided with the opportunity to work with professional music coaches in order to achieve the highest level of artistry. The RBHS Orchestra is a full symphony orchestra, which includes strings, winds, brass, and percussion. Students work with professional musicians from the San Diego Symphony as well as professionals from local universities on a weekly basis to prepare large orchestral works.

The Royal Regiment proudly represents Rancho Bernardo High School. It is the goal of this program to enhance excellence in musical performance and enrich the experience of our students. Marching band students develop the principles of individual and group achievement.

In the Theatre Arts courses at RBHS, students are introduced to the history and origin of theatre arts, taught the skills necessary to bring a play from the page to the stage, and asked to practice and hone those skills through production projects. Students are also given many opportunities to apply their skills and knowledge outside of class by participating in productions by the Rancho Bernardo Bronco Players.

The Choral program at RBHS performs everything from Renaissance to Pop and Broadway music. All levels of choir fit the A-G graduation requirement. This is an award winning program whic has recieved superior ratings from around the country. It is fun, exciting, entertaining, and most of all a great learning environment for everone to showcase their talent.
