If you are interested in applying for the California State Seal of Civic Engagement, the application will be open until April 10th, 2026. The State Seal of Civic Engagement recognizes young people who are already participating in and knowledgeable about our democracy. In order to be considered for the SSCE, you must submit 1) a student application, and
2) an adult reference (not a parent) must complete a reference form for the student applicant
Applications are open until the end of the school day on April 10th, 2026.
